Review of Sully (2016) by Compi24 — 12 Sep 2016
Clint Eastwood's dramatic retelling of the Miracle On The Hudson is as dignified and as humble as its titular subject, featuring careful direction, deliberate pacing, and magnetic performance work from both Tom Hanks and Aaron Eckhart.
Even though the film's nonlinear narrative may have turned me around a couple of times, the overall moralistic thread of using stick-to-itiveness in the face of tremendous adversity will ultimately woo even the most curmudgeonly naysayers over towards the film's favor.
So far this year, "Sully" is by far the hardest film for me to see anybody disliking.
