Review of Sully (2016) by Hfahmy — 23 Sep 2016
A movie that is not typically about a disaster, but more on flash decision making and baring responsibility of 155 passengers aboard a failing engines airplane. Acting is not the number one star of this movie, directing and photographing come first.
Excellent directing that attracts the audience from the first minute. Clint Eastwood proved that growing old does not stop imagination and craftsmanship; in a non lengthy movie he made use of every minute.
Highly professional photography angles, especially the one showing the airplane landing in Hudson River and heading towards the audience. Tom Hanks as Captain Sully acted well, not better than before, his usual typical acting.
His copilot Aaron Eckhart was good, no more, his wife Laura Linney in her few minutes appearances. The hearing board members were all good, namely Mike O'Mally and Jamey Sheridan. One of the best movies of the year.
