Review of Sully (2016) by Hollis O — 16 Dec 2016

This is really great, almost a kind of slight film but then Eastwood has always excelled in lifting those sort of stories to a higher plain (get it!). Hanks as always, is excellent. He turns what on the page could be a very one dimensional portrait of the central heroic Sully into a really nuanced character study.

It's a great script, it doesn't outstay it's welcome, a late entry to be one of my favourites of 2016.
