Review of Sullivan's Travels (1941) by Elliot G — 16 Sep 2008
A brilliant film on so many levels--as a genius comedy with instantly quotable quips, a Hollywood satire, and a layered social document that is probably universally relevant. It's amazing to think that this film, 'Kane', and 'Casablanca' came out in the same year.
I loved this movie so, so much. There's so much going on at every moment. It's pure genius.
