Review of Sullivan's Travels (1941) by Tim M — 08 Sep 2009
Wonderful, under the radar classic and one of the best black-and-white comedies out there. It's only 1.5 hours long but all those 90 minutes are worth watching and it's not just because of Veronica Lake, who I thought was very pretty.
The story is original and it is about the lead actor who is a director and he is set out to research the meaning of poverty and suffering for his new movie, so he dressed like a hobo and started off with 10 cents and the movie starts off from there.
