Review of Sullivan's Travels (1941) by William L — 21 Feb 2010
Four stars (Don't miss it): Very fine comedy about a director tired of making sentimental movies attempting to see what it's like to live in poverty. Starts out as somewhat of a farce, and moves beautifully into full-blown social commentary.
A finely tuned attack on liberal elitism in the face of poverty.
