Review of Sullivan's Travels (1941) by Joel A — 30 Mar 2010
Such a terrific film!!! It has been a long time since I have seen a film that blended comedy and a relevant specific message of the time as well as this film did. It flowed like magic, completely entertaining as much as it was insightful. Both leads Joel McCrea & Veronica Lake where fantastic and had a wonderful chemistry.
Rarely a dull moment, when the film wasn't making you think you'd be laughing and vica versa. To me this a perfect example of classic film that is truly timeless, Preston Sturges truly created something rather special....
