Review of Sullivan's Travels (1941) by Peter P — 23 Jul 2011
A much beloved movie about a movie movie that's at times pretty wonky and silly and at others actually quite dark and serious, while striking a pretty good balance between both. The big draw of this movie is obviously the often worshiped Veronica Lake, but frequent Struges collaborator Joel McCrea is great too.
I definitely liked the last half better than the first, but this is an entertaining, fun little romp overall.
