Review of Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) by Robert H — 10 Nov 2008
The scenes with Tarantino are worth it alone. Though the film is a bit slow at times, this is a classic Takashi Miike. From the bizarre sound stage sets and the Japanese actors speaking phonetic English to the samurai cowboys and fetus flowers, fans of Miike's previous works will be pleased.
I would have liked a bit more blood but there's more than enough for the mainstream audience goers.
