Review of Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) by Ryan W — 16 Jan 2009
Well, it's exactly what I expected Miike's version of a Western to be: strange, funny, violent, and just all around fun. I don't think it should be touted as his "masterpiece" but I'd rank it up there with some of his best films.
And for those who are "scared" of all Japanese casts, don't worry. The "engrish" that dominates 99.9% of the film is actually pretty well done.
