Review of Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) by Harry M — 01 Mar 2009

First off, this film looks incredible. It's very rare that you get this much beautiful imagery in one film. But sadly, it's let down by pretty much everything else. Miike insists on having so many inexplicable, surreal and (more importantly) pointless scenes that it just becomes silly and annoying.

So far, this is easily the biggest let-down of the year.
