Review of Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) by Mikael K — 10 Apr 2009
I was never the biggest fan of the Yojimbo/A Fistfull of Dollars -storyline, and here we see it yet again in a very postmodern form, interpreted by Takashi Miike, the ever surprising director of many modern cult classics.
The film looks pretty nice, but ultimately I didnâ??t really get what it was all about. It did have a somewhat charming, campy feel to it, but there is not much meat and potatoes in the whole thing.
