Review of Sukiyaki Western Django (2007) by Clyde K — 24 Apr 2009

This was an interesting one. Albiet one im not entirely sure if I really liked, while it did have some pretty awesome moments it also had some fairly bizzare ones which I felt dragged the rest of the film down.

I know bizzare and Miike go hand in hand, but usually he works it to his advantage, however with this some of the decisions just seemed odd.

Making the actors speak (severly broken) english took alot away from the film as most of the time was spent trying to figure out what the hell they were trying to say, not to mention it made them sound pretty hammy and.

Ridiculous.

I think its going to require a few more viewings before I decide on this one, although next time I belive subtitles are a must!
