Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Christopher%20 A — 28 Jan 2018
They missed the word 'career' from the title. Career Suicide Squad, I think it's meant to say. Will Smith, a talented actor who at one time was a guarantee of watchability, is turning out more turkeys than Bernard Matthews these days.
The faults are well documented. It's a real missed opportunity with it's macho posturing and contrived plot. Joel Kinnerman will escape the slipstream (going on, as he is to do Altered Carbon) but Will Smith immediately threw himself under the wheels of Bright, a car wreck driven by the same director.
The worst DC movie by a country mile. And that's saying something.
