Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Bella A — 18 Feb 2017
I chose to watch Suicide Squad for a school project that this review is also for. Despite the critics dislike towards this movie, I was pleasantly surprised I enjoyed it. There was a lack of explanation of the plot in the beginning, and what the Suicide Squad was actually fighting against.
I got the point that Amanda Waller, the head of the FBI, planned the escape of the Enchantress to test the worst criminals to see is they were up for the job. The background on each of the members of the gang was attention grabbing for the start of the movie, as there were details from Deadshot's past and his weakness for his daughter, to the Joker's twisted plan that turned Dr.
Harleen Quinzel into the psychotic Harley Quinn. The character of Amanda Waller is brilliant as she is supposed to be the good guy, but proves this false when she stops at nothing to protect herself by shooting her own FBI workers.
The irony lies within the fact that Amanda Waller is equal or possibly more of a villain than the criminals in the Suicide Squad.
