Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Collin M — 14 May 2017
The hype for this movie was so real. It was SO real. Honestly, the movie is the biggest disappointment I have ever witnessed. I wanted to like this movie so bad that I forced myself to laugh on some occasions.
Pathetic, I know. This is an utter cringe-fest, with performances by Will Smith and Viola Davis that make this movie slightly more bearable. The rest of the cast is pretty good for the most part, but the laughable plot and extreme missed opportunity this movie ended up being is a damn shame.
And no, I'm not being negative because I'm a "Marvel fanboy." I'm mean because I care. I want DC to be the juggernaut I know they can be.
