Review of Suicide Squad (2016) by Jared W — 24 Jun 2017
It's a fun collection of scenes and CGI, but it's not really a "film." The actors are great. The screenplay is terrible and the music feels like it was added by the music supervisors nephew one day when he called in sick. They're so "on the nose" it feels like a running joke. "spirit in the sky" when the group flies in to fight a ghost who has set up a giant blue light in the sky, and "black skinhead" when a bald Will Smith does target practice are just two examples.
Overall, it's fun as long as you don't think about it to much.
