Review of Suicide Club (2001) by A R — 30 Jul 2007
There is some unevenness to the tone that I didn't care for, but mostly I thought this worked as a smart satire on Japanese social ills. Moreover, it can be read as a criticism of Asian mysticism, particularly the negation of free will, something that is not always well understood in Western culture.
Interesting and well-made.
