An amazing film about suicide in Japan. Do not dismiss it for its gore or ambiguous ending. There is much food for thought presented in this film. Understanding Japanese culture and sociology is a huge advantage in understanding the message of this film.
I recommend reading "Japanese Society" by Chie Nakane.
