Review of Suicide Club (2001) by Liana A — 22 Apr 2008
Cheesy fake blood and gore? Check. Conspiracy? Check. Social commentary? DOUBLE CHECK. This movie is so layered its INSANE. Japan's fanatical trend obsessed culture taps into the already existing suicide epidemic and children hold the negligent adults responsible for the self imposed isolationism and disconnection of ourselves to others and our own connection as well.
Not to mention the snappy musical number. Superior Film.
