Review of Sugar (2010) by Rob S — 27 Aug 2009
Very good portrayal of a young baseball player from the Domican Republic trying to make it to the big leagues. Even if you're not a fan of baseball, this movie has a lot going for it. Algenis Perez Soto is fantastic, appearing in almost every scene.
His struggles, within and without, are probably common to thousands of other young men around the world. Great supporting cast rounds out this winner.
