I wanted to like this more. It was good, but not great. There were some really good scenes, but I feel like the wrong story was being told. Carey Mulligan's character didn't really do much; it was more that things happened to her or around her.
If the movie focused on Meryl Streep's character or Helena Bonham Carter's character or someone else, it might have been a better movie. If you want to see a better movie about woman's right to vote, check out "Iron Jawed Angels" from a few years ago, starring Hillary Swank.
