Bah. it was torturous at times.
Not cute enough. not charming enough. not stylized enough. it tries on all fronts, but comes across as a wannabe romantic comedy musical but fails on all three. decent cast, and interesting concept but so poorly executed. it was an attempt to make an ethnic movie for dumb Americans and it's just dumb. The Taco Bell of Mexican cinema.
