Elizabeth Taylor's performance in this film is one of the few performances in cinema history which can be used as examples of how to define the term 'acting'. Taylor steals the show from Montgomery Clift and Katherine Hepburn in this intense, unpredictable and intriguing suspense thriller that succeeds thanks to its writing, acting and careful direction.
