If there is a divine entity responsable for the inception of our universe, it most certainly directed this installment of the Dirty Harry franchise. If not, "Sudden Impact" stands as mankind's single greatest achievement. Either way, you should run (or speed) to your nearest video retailer, grab a copy of this 1980s gem and offer to pay the cashier seven times the labeled price. It's the only proper compensation for how much joy this film will bring you.

The "large black coffee" scene, elevator confrontation, Michael Gazzo's party, numerous fights, shoot outs, Paul Drake's scenery chewing and Harry kicking that bitch with the slimey teeth all make this one of the finest entries in the saga of Harry Callahan.
