Review of Sudden Impact (1983) by Chris T — 13 Jul 2008
Dirty Harry, the anti hero, meets Jennifer Spencer, a anti-villainness in a movie where it seems that Eastwood try to tell his audience that the criminals is not always deserving of a bullet (which makes this a little anti-Dirty Harry movie too).
The darkest of the series with some disturbing violent imagery. The ending is perhaps too audience friendly with a western showdown and a amusement park chase. There is some thoughtful ideas between the action too.
It just could have needed a better polished script and skipped the attempts of humor with Harry's dog. Still, my favorite of the sequels.
