Review of Sudden Impact (1983) by Brad R — 07 Oct 2012
The fourth outing of San Francisco's crusty old cop is a solid hit, as "Dirty Harry" star Clint Eastwood competently helms the director's chair for 1983's "Sudden Impact." With the regular oversimplified vigilantly themes ever-present, "Sudden Impact" makes for explosive fun as Eastwood is joined by Sondra Locke as the vengeful blonde and Paul Drake, who plays the best villain of the series since Andy Robinson's crazed "Scorpio" killer from the original "Dirty Harry.
" As long as we can remind ourselves that the film is indeed escapist fiction, it makes for two hours of solid entertainment.
