Review of Sudden Impact (1983) by Kieran F — 14 May 2010
One of the Darkest and DEFINATLLY Dirty Harry at his Dirtiest. with great action a strong story and possibly one of the most memorable lines in movie history(def. in the serries) with "Go Ahead...Make my day" Harry shows that he's still a bad-ass cop even if he's in his 40's.
The story is technically the first and only story that actually is about what Harry stands for(The victem)about a girl who's sister and her are rapped and the one sister is put in a cathotonic state. And the other one goes out for revenge. and through out the film he(Harry) tries to solve this and at the same time in the end gives the victem justice for what happened to her and her sister.
I honestly have to say for me this is one of the best DH's in the serries and always enjoyed it. I also like how even though it was the longest it didn't drag but at the same time felt more built then the others and thusly didn't move through so fast that at the end you where like "I WAN'T MORE" it felt complete and at the same time felt like it was enough.
Possibly my only real disapointment in the film was how they didn't finish the serries with this one..the next one was okay but felt TOOO old.
