Review of Sudden Impact (1983) by Mark D — 09 May 2012
As I make my way through Clint Eastwood's back catalogue, Sudden Impact is the first Harry Callahan film that I have disliked. It lacked some of the hallmarks of the original (I guess it does have "Go Ahead.
..Make My Day") and it features some of the hammiest acting of all time. Not to mention an atrocious effort from Sondra Locke. In reality the only thing that makes this barely watchable is Eastwood himself.
He has charisma and the character is a joy, I just wish everything else around him was able to match.
