Review of Sudden Death (1995) by Tom R — 26 Mar 2009
Die Hard and hockey. If either of these turn you off, you probably won't like Sudden Death. However, I found this movie to be so mindless and so full of action movie cliches that I liked it. I can't deny that I was entertained the whole movie.
There was never a dull moment, just dull acting. The fight with the penguin was probably the highlight and Powers Boothe was so over-the-top in being evil that it hardly seems like a spoiler when he meets his hilariously explosive end.
Anyway, this knock-off Die Hard succeeds in keeping the viewer interested, even if you're not into stupid action movies.
