Review of Sucker Punch (2011) by Joe W — 07 Sep 2012
Looks pretty, thats About it. Its unique and striking visual style and adrenaline pumping soundtrack doesnt make up for its many shortcomings. Namely an instantly forgettable protagonist who can barely act and a wafer thin plot told via what essentially amounts to a series of gloried big budget music videos. Not that the strength of the (virtually non existent) plot matters anyway, since the film is so psychotically structured that it could make even the greatest tale ever told tediously hard to follow.
Hey Zack Snyder, turds dont stop being turds when you spray perfume on them, put a blonde wig on them and throw them around the room in slow motion to the sounds of Björk.
