Its a very good movie, but really hard to get the plot. There are 3 fantasy worlds in baby dolls mind, The brothel (set around the 50s), where the men acted like assholes and had complete control over the women.
The lobotomy, ( set around the 20s), where they still had control over the women. Then her fantasy world (set in now, the pop culture world), where the women had complete control over themselves. She had to set her mind free using the pop culture world.
As for parents, It feels more like an R rated movie.
