Review of Sucker Punch (2011) by Cattera Y — 06 May 2015

Brilliantly multifaceted, this movie is too ingenious to be justly critiqued in a strait-forward manner. If your conscience didn't berate you during the action sequences to wonder "what's REALLY happening to these girls right now" then the whole movie went right over your head and the ending scenes probably seemed boring and incomprehensible to you. If you didn't like this movie, watch it again, and try THINKING next time.

I classify this movie with Pan's Labyrinth - the two mirror each other and share many stylistic qualities, lending them an eerie kinship. I consider them both to be equally excellent.
