Review of Sucker Punch (2011) by Luca Maria M — 22 Dec 2015

Strangely, a movie with hot girls (un)dressed like anime cartoon characters, a creepy mental hospital, giant samurai warriors, steampunk WWI zombie german soldiers, 2 dragons, orcs, robots, time bombs, other things I am surely forgetting and 3 overlapping world (real one, imaginary one and imaginary imaginated in the first imaginary one.

..) all mixed together doesn't work as perfectly as you'd expect. The movie visuals are really amazing and it has its cool moments, managing to be even fun every now and then. But I couldn't get rid of the impression that it was a big waste of talent and a big missed opportunity.
