Review of Suburbicon (2017) by Pam S — 02 Nov 2017
I was the only one in the cinema. That says everything Too many loose ends in a movie that at its core is based on a formula you've seen time and time again. There were subplots that you were waiting to be tied into the main narrative, but it just didn't happen.
You could have removed one, saved about 30 minutes, and not affected the viewing experience. Suffice it to say that it's not often I look at my watch in a movie, and was disappointed to see there was still about 20 minutes to go.
