Review of Suburbicon (2017) by Max C — 08 Nov 2017
After seeing all the bad reviews I was not expecting much out of this movie. However I was pleasantly surprised. I thought the premise turned out to be more fresh than I expected. It was Fargo meets the Stepford Wives.
I think Clooney was trying his hand at making a classic Coen Brothers movie and hits some of the marks but misses some as well. Overall I thought the movie was more good than bad. It dabbles in absurdism and keeps the plot moving in a very Fargo type of way.
I think its getting a bad wrap.
