Review of Suburbicon (2017) by Jess_Hill — 28 Oct 2017
The Cohen Brothers have crafted a prescient and complex film which serves as a scathing response to the 'make America great again' sentiment which has plagued the current political discourse in the US, as well as bringing their esoteric style to yet another commentary on the nature of The American Dream.
Moore and Damon are excellent, and the storyline begins slowly but from the second act, becomes utterly compelling, building tension to a nail biting conclusion. An entertaining and thought provoking film.
