Review of Suburban Commando (1991) by Dustin M — 25 Nov 2009
By far, the greatest movie starring "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan. However, the main reason for owning this movie (besides being a Hulkamaniac) is for the performances by Christopher Lloyd, Shelley Duvall and Larry Miller.
Duvall encapsulates a passionately aggressive housewife who loves her husband, but will go to extreme lengths to make him succeed. Larry Miller, conversely, plays the kind of boss you want to loathe. Finally, Christopher Lloyd as Charlie Wilcox is one of my top-ten favorite Christopher Lloyd characters.
Unlike other actors who could've been placed in the role, Lloyd takes everything in stride and causes Wilcox to evolve into a stronger man towards the end. Personally, I gave this movie 5 stars, because I can still watch it today at any time.
..provided that you need some light-hearted humor.
