Review of Submarine (2011) by A B — 10 Nov 2013
Submarine is charming, warm and appropriately eccentric. The direction is immaculate (perhaps over-stylized for some) and somewhat reminiscent of Wes Anderson's off-beat approach. Alex Turner's soundtrack is low-key, affectionate and helps convey the appropriate tone throughout the film.
