Review of Submarine (2011) by Jessica K — 30 Aug 2011
This movie was outstandingly brilliant. The execution was perfect and Oliver Tate was very interesting.
"Most people think of themselves as individuals; that there's no one else on the planet like them. This thought motivates them to get out of bed, eat food, and walk around like nothing's wrong. My name is Oliver Tate.".
That is the movie in a nutshell and it teaches you about yourself, even if you don't know it right away. There was references to Woody Allen and Jordana was a wonderful addition to this already brilliant premise. All in all, outstanding 5-star movie. It's awkward, funny, sad, depressing. You can find something for everyone and it is a comng-of-age story. At least for Oliver Tate.".
