Review of Submarine (2011) by Zack F — 28 Nov 2011
A well written script with a witty and light tone and some realistically and comedic performance from Rogers and Hawkins makes Submarine an entertaining watch as well as one of the more realistic and less melodrama-ish representations of adolescents with crushes and family issues.
The movie does drag on a bit long and loses a bit of its tone by getting too goofy with the beyond realistic outrageousness of Hawkins suspected affair interest, the public speaker with the crazy doo on his head.
