"During this brief hiatus, I can help save my parents' marriage and then resume my duties as the best boyfriend in the world.".

Submarine is beautiful. Quirky, fun, and stunning cinematography mixed with Oliver Tate, a very amusing and interesting character, and just the right situation to make for what I believe is one of the best movies ever made.

While being hilarious and fun to watch, Submarine, has a deep and touching story. At one part that shouldn't have mattered to the naked eye made me cry. I only hope the director did that in purpose. Submarine is an adolescent adventure depicting the ups and downs of a teenage male trying to solve the world around him. Yet, maybe that wasn't his intentions. Even until that last second of the movie you won't fully understand Oliver Tate. You can't understand something that doesn't understand itself.

"So when you're in a crisis, it doesn't feel like the waves are crashing on you, it feels like you can just stand under those waves.".
