Sure, it's not the best movie ever, but it's a damn funny horror spoof for its time period. I wouldn't say there are a lot of belly laughs, but you're going to chuckle a good amount. Some of the running gags do get old though.
As for "leave it to professionals," one director was a writing partner of Woody Allen and the other had directed BAD NEWS BEARS previously, then went on to direct FLETCH and THE GOLDEN CHILD.
I think it deserves a DVD release. Until then, I guess I can live with my OOP VHS.
