This is what you get when professional writers go on strike. What is positioned as a "comedy horror movie" is not much of either. There are a couple of chuckles, like the blind guy being driven around by his dog; otherwise, most of the jokes barely generate a grin.
The poster art is probably the most appealing thing about the movie, but it is interesting to see how Hollywood was attempting to create a genre parody franchise more than a decade before "Scary Movie" was launched.
