Why would people go to lengths to make a guy move on only to be reunited in an forcibly awkward and unbelievable way with his ex-wife. Would have been much better if the parents hadn't united in the end for a cliched thanksgiving meal and the poor guy could have moved on finally with his life.
It would have been a much believable feel-good movie.
