Review of Stuck! (2009) by Luis N — 02 Nov 2008

Very dark and twisted film, so obviously I'm going to enjoy it. It's pretty gruesome without actually being overly violent...don't get me wrong there IS violence in this film, but most the real gruesome scene was when Tom was trying to get out of the window, the sound effects they used there were just excellent and really made the scene disturbing.

I also really liked how the characters were written and how they were just normal people who are driven to the edge where they have to commit horrendous things. The acting was also very good, while Stephen Rea (who owns) may have been stuck in the window throughout most of the movie he was excellent but Mena Suvari pretty much kicked ass and I do think she doesn't get the credit she deserves cause she has grown a lot as an actress.

The actor who played Rashid was hilarious and I'm guessing he was there for comedic relief, which wasn't really needed since this film is darkly comic in its own way. This film is badass as I really enjoyed it and it's not that long a film so it's just perfect, as it ends when it needed to end and not a minute longer.

Stuart Gordon is the man!
