Review of Stuck! (2009) by Justin D — 08 Mar 2011
Interesting to say the least, this movie takes the from hell genre to its extreme. It's not really a from hell as such but could be a sub-genre all on its own: the runner-over from hell.
Some people are just having a bad day. Tom Bardo (S. Rea) is having a particularly bad one. And then, he meets Brandi (M. suvari) or rather his head meets Brandi's windshield. From then on, things get worse, way worse for Tom.
Stuart Gordon takes you on a dark and uncomfortable journey that will make you cringe (and laugh) at times. Even though not a horror movie in conventional terms, it has some gore and the suspense shouldl keep you on the edge of your seat. I probably wouldn' have bought its far fetched premise but it is based on a true story so I had no choice. I don't know how much of it is Gordon's invention but this movie left me wanting to look the real story up and find out what happened to Tom.
