Review of Stuck (2002) by Noname — 13 Nov 2013
This is what happens when you don't help someone in need.
The premise for whatever purpose is stretched out and elongated more than it needs to be; so the main character is a selfish, coward.
If she just didn't keep it to herself she could have helped the homeless guy she hit by calling the authorities and getting him proper treatment.
They never really flat out explain why she just can't get the courage to get help from someone.
It's interesting seeing the main homeless guy having him down on his luck, he cant find work or get a place to stay so we end up asking does he deserve this since he has nothing else going for him?
The flick is also intensely violent than I thought it would be.
There's so many up-close gore shots from the accident that it is gratuitous but it does show realistically how much worse the scenario becomes if it's ignored.
I guess too that considering that this takes place in a bad part of the city that other people prefer not to get involved as it would affect them negatively.
But we need to understand that once an accident happens it has to be brought to someone's attention and the problem is not going to go away by itself.
The only thing more worse than it happening is telling that it didn't.
