Struck by Lightning shoots to be a multifaceted teen-outcast dramedy and sadly misses. It tries to be authentic, whimsical, and somewhat dark and succeeds at none. The character development left much wanted and resorted in no likable characters.
That may have been the intention, but in a movie about multiple underdogs, it left you no one to root for.
