It's hard not to root for Chris Colfer here, because he's so darned likable. And there's certainly an interesting movie in here somewhere as it was not without it's moments. But there's some really clunky dialogue and the acting varies wildly.
It all feels a bit too unrefined, like a play that needed a lot more workshopping.
